Getting Started

Starting is the hardest part. The endless and overwhelming initial possibilities keep the parking brake firmly in place. How do you choose the right way to go? One thing is certain at this point, even if you don't know exactly where you want to end up, you have to start moving if you're going to get anywhere at all. After all, everyone knows you can't drive a parked car. And so, I'm starting.

I'm not exactly sure how focused on any one thing this blog will be. One post may deal with parenting. One may be about some aspect of homeschooling. One about a book I'm reading (Wuthering Heights) or a movie I've seen (Thor: Ragnarok).  There will probably be a fair amount of sorting through life's transitions. There are two teenagers in this house and I'm ready to forge the next chapter for myself as we are helping them forge theirs. Oh, and there are pets. So they may make their way on here as well.

I'm a bookworm and fairly "old-school" about most things.  I prefer a hand-written letter to a tweet any day. But I love Instagram and Facebook and spend plenty of time on social media.

And I blog, apparently.

So, now I can say I've posted by first blog entry. Or whatever you call it.
